Ted Williams: The best Hitter of all time

Anyone reading this blog will surely think I’m biased as I am a Red Sox fan. But Ted Williams is for sure the best hitter of all time. A .344 all time average may do it by itself, but this mans utter dominance of pitching during his career even as a older player. He has a .482 OBP for his career. That mark is the highest of all time. His .553 mark in 1941 is one of the highest of all time.

But that is not the most important stat of that year by a long shot. He also hit .406 that year. He is the last ever player to hit for a .400 average, the next closest would be Tony Gwynn in 1994 with a .394 and George Brett in 1980 with a .390, no one has hit .370 plus since 2004 when Ichiro did it. His hitting was unprecedented and he is the best of all time. Thanks for reading.
