Part 2: Why Howie Roseman sucks

Since taking back over from Chip Kelly in 2016 Howie Roseman has done an interesting job as a general manager. He is credited with getting the free agents necessary for a super bowl run, his highlights include signing Alshon Jeffery, Torrey Smith, and Chris Long who all had infuential roles in the team and helping them go 13-3 and winning the Super bowl. A horrifying depressing stat that I have discovered about Rosemans, drafting. Since 2015 the Eagles have drafted 1 pro bowler, his name is Carson Wentz. Some draft lowlights include taking Jj Arthega Whiteside over the aforementioned in Part 1 Dk Metcalf and the not yet mentioned Terry McClaurin. Also taking Jalen Reagor over a countless number of stud receivers such as Justin Jefferson, Tee Higgins, and many more. The team this year has no depth the O-line is old, the highest paid linebacker is Nate Gerry making just under $2 million, he has not invested in the linebackers and has really paid the price this year. His drafting has been so scarily bad, I was thinking about some of the players we drafted for the Super Bowl year Derek Barnett, Sydney Jones, Rasul Douglas all those players are gone except Barnett. One player remaining from a draft class from 3 years ago, sadness. I had to bring it up because it might be the stupidest drafting decision of all time. Drafting Jalen Hurts in the second round over the probable defensive rookie of the year Jeremy Chinn was shocking. From EDP445 to analysts at Espn everyone was suprised and it really just didn’t make sense. Drafting a QB after you have already paid one an obscene amount of money is not only bad for the teams future but also will clearly cause turmoil among the team. Especially when we find out the Roseman overruled everyone else to take Hurts. Thanks for reading, Part 3 coming soon .
