First Football Post: Eagles vs Redskins Prediction

As a native of Philadelphia native I am huge Eagles fan. For the first game of the season and for most of the future ones I will do a preview and talk about my predictions for the coming game. For week 1 we are playing the Washington *cough* Football Team. We have a clear advantage at basically every position on the field. Washington’s best offensive player Terry McClaurin will be shadowed by the Eagles newly acquired top 10 corner, Darius Slay.

Injuries for my Birds has always been an issue and this season it is no different. Derek Barnett is out today which is a shame because the D-Line could use that depth this season. Miles Sanders who was supposed to be our number 1 running back this season is also out. This could become an issue as he is really important to keeping the offense two dimensional. I think our defense will run wild on the Washington offense. Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave will both have big games.

Hopefully the d-line and corners will make up for the holes in the linebackers. I am predicting a solid day for Carson Wentz, not anything crazy because the Washington d-line is very good. I would say 19-27 for 250 wish yards and 2 touchdowns. Hopefully Desean Jackson and Jalen Reagor can be deep threats for Wentz. Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert will each have a touchdown and Boston Scott and Corey Clement will have good games as well. I think the score will be 28-17 in favor of the Eagles. Thanks for reading.
